Pencils coming out of the pencil making machine are conveyed directly into the hopper. The lifting mechanism feeds pencils to the hot stamping mechanism, which has 40 pencil stations per cycle. After hot stamping, pencils are transported by belt and then pushed by air cylinders into the bin of the inspection machine for inspection. This arrangement is adopted to prevent pencil jumble.
